DIVERGENCE is an anthology of sonic explorations, with each piece rooted in the human experience. From standing at the edge of the world in the windswept theatre in Minack, to the grounding meditation of Return to Source, Anna has composed, performed, and produced a deeply personal, striking exploration of mortality, memory, and spiritual transformation. With many tracks conceived for live, site-specific environments and later translated to the studio, the album moves between cinematic, classical, ambient, and electronic worlds, weaving together field recordings, and orchestration.
DIVERGENCE will be released on Bandcamp, all major streaming platforms, as well as CD and an exclusive run of vinyl. Stream & purchase here: https://orcd.co/divergenceap

“Wonderful…wildly inspired by nature”
PROG Magazine
“Though rooted in classical music, Divergence feels anything but traditional. Anna Phoebe’s world-building, via scratched strings, rhythmic keyboards and birdsong all strengthen her argument that the violin can evolve as an instrument to suit the times without limiting its evocative charm.”
“It’s impressive stuff.”
“Anna Phoebe is a violinist whose classical melodies, modern soundscaping and instrumental storytelling are at the heart of her latest solo record.”
Mike Flynn (Jazzwise magazine, editor) – on Hidden Notes Festival performance
“It’s a sweeping cinematic suite of music that resists easy categorisation, floating like a living, breathing score for the vivid images running through her head.”
“In its most visceral moments, such as on the rough-hewn riffing of ‘Untamed’, Divergence seeks both confrontation and comfort, with the closing ‘Return to Source’ offering a poignant parting embrace.”
