The RAJAR results are in for radio listening in Q4 of 2024 and were delighted to see impressive ratings growth for so many stations home to Noel Gay clients.

Under Bauer Media, Baylen Leonard’s Absolute Radio Country achieved a record of 610K listeners (up almost 50% year-on-year) and James Barr’s Hits Radio amassed an excellent 4.7M listeners.

Over at the BBC, Amy Lame’s Radio 6 Music reached 2.8M listeners (up 10.2% year-on-year) and continues to be the biggest digital radio station in the UK. Jeremy Vine’s Radio 2 continues to be the UK’s biggest radio station with 13.1M listeners. BBC Radio 4, home to Anita Anand’s Any Answers, Andrea Catherwood’s Feedback, Anna Phoebe’s Add To Playlist and Simon Jack’s Today programme, brought in a grand 9M listeners. Katie Derham and Petroc Trelawny’s BBC Radio 3 continues to surge in popularity with a 10% increase to 1.95M listeners.

Within the BBC’s On-Demand space, Robin Ince’s Infinite Monkey Cage (R4) was No. 8 in the Top 10 most listened-to programmes on BBC Sounds overall and for Under-35s.

Ayesha Hazarika & Stig Abel’s Times Radio saw a spectacular reach increase of 23% (year-on-year) making it one of the UK’s fastest-growing speech stations.
