The Radio Academy have announced the shortlist of nominees for the 2025 ARIAS and we’re delighted to see a number of stations & programmes home to Noel Gay clients being recognised! 🎉
BBC Radio 3, home to Katie Derham and Petroc Trelawny, is nominated for ‘UK Radio Station or Radio Network of the Year’, along with nods to the 2024 BBC Proms for ‘Best Event Coverage’ and the Breakfast programme for ‘Best Music Breakfast Radio Show’, previously hosted by Petroc for 14 years before his recent move to In Tune last week. ‘Sleep Tracks’ on Radio 3 Unwind, produced by Katie’s production company Peanut & Crumb, is also recognised for ‘The Creative or Technical Innovation Award’.
Magic Radio, where Nicki Chapman hosts the iconic Mellow Magic and Times Radio, where Ayesha Hazarika presents weekend Drivetime, both received 3 nominations apiece.
In the sporting world, Danny Kelly’s home station, TalkSPORT, earnt 5 nominations including ‘UK Radio Station or Radio Network of the Year’.
BBC Radio 4, where you can find Anita Anand’s Any Answers, Andrea Catherwood’s Feedback, Anna Phoebe’s Add To Playlist and Robin Ince’s infinite Monkey Cage, has received an impressive 21 nominations across their output, including ‘Best Speech Breakfast Radio Show’ for Simon Jack’s Today programme.
The winners will be announced at the ARIAS ceremony on Wednesday 14th May at ODEON Leicester Square.
