Alys is an actor, storyteller and writer. She has most recently been touring in The Thing That Came From Over There! with Gonzo Moose, which she toured and developed with them as Great Scott! in 2016. She also appeared in What the Dickens? with them at Plymouth Theatre Royal and on tour.

Other theatre includes work at West Yorkshire Playhouse, Theatre by the Lake, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, GLYPT and many more.

On screen, Alys has most recently been filming Baar Baar Dekho in India, with Arc Light Productions.

She has appeared in Doctors, several episodes of Coronation Street and the BAFTA-winning The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies, along with Miranda, Dead Ringers, 2 Point 4 Children and Manchild, and films The Legacy and A Bit of a Week. 

She has also created and performed numerous comedy shows, as part of Faultless and Torrance and with The Four Horsemen and The Yard Birds. She has written and performed for Harry Enfield’s Yuletide Chums, Kevin and Perry Go Large, The Milk Run on BBC Radio 2 and E4’s This Is Pop. She appeared in BBC Radio 4’s Life In London as a sparrow, amongst other characters.

She is also an accomplished clown who has trained with Philippe Gaulier and Angela de Castro. She is one half of comedy duo Faultless and Torrance, runs Story Jam – a monthly storytelling night – and plays the clarinet to a high standard. She has lots of cabaret and commercial credits, and is an experienced voiceover artist.
